Beginning to Meet -- Tips.

Picture
  • Be clear about roles. Who is going to facilitate? Will facilitation rotate? What
will be the role of the coach, the principal, or others who may be ad hoc
    members of the team?
  • Be clear about purpose. Are you there to
share, to commiserate, or to learn together? (I urge the
    latter!)
  • You may find this question useful for starting the
conversation: If our time together as a professional learning team is to make a
difference for students, what will happen here?

Meeting Notes.

It is essential to have notes for each PLT meeting. A form you may want to use--or adapt--can be found here.
